Filmed over a decade beginning in 2015, HOPE ON THE MENU follows Sharon Richardson, a survivor of domestic violence and two decades of incarceration, and the women in her transformative program, which empowers formerly incarcerated survivors of abuse. As Sharon leads the way, we follow Jasmin and Brigitte, two women navigating their own journeys of healing, reintegration, and self-discovery. Through cooking, dancing, and sisterhood, they reclaim their dignity, rebuild their lives, and discover hope for the future.

This feature-length documentary explores the intersections of trauma recovery, creative expression, and social entrepreneurship, illuminating the resilience of women working to break cycles of abuse, incarceration, and marginalization.

Set within the crowded marriage markets of China, CHINESE MATCHMAKING explores the evolving culture of matchmaking, family expectations, and the universal search for love and companionship. At the center of the film is an older woman searching for a husband for her divorced daughter, only to discover that she, too, longs for companionship. Blending documentary observation with a hybrid storytelling approach, the film examines love, aging, and the human desire for connection across generations.
